"Taste of Newport" Becomes "Feast of Newport" for Child & Family Services

With a change of venue and format, the annual "Taste of Newport", supporting the work of Child and Family Services, delighted its patrons at many culinary levels, the most innovative was a seated collaborative 5 course dinner prepared by some of Newport's finest restaurants, including Castle Hill, 22 Bowen’s, One Bellevue, Clarke Cooke House, Stoneacre Pantry, and White Horse Tavern. Each dinner course was paired with a selected wine.  All in all, an evening to remember.

Held this year at venerable Viking Hotel where the first taste was held 30

Host Keith Tavares welcoming guests

years ago, the well-attended evening began with its usual cocktail hour, with an array restaurants and caterers offering up samples of some of their best recipes.  The silent auction was full of alluring and categorized items up for bid.  The evening expanded into an elegant and delicious dinner after the lively cocktail hour and auction bidding. Always the perfect host, Keith Tavares greeted guests and saw that everyone was seated for the dinner.

Newport Restaurant Group and the Hotel Viking partnered with Child & Family providing professional guidance and support to redesign Taste of Newport.
