"Strictly Sinatra" Honors Old Blue Eyes at The Redwood Library

It was 50's style suits, spectator shoes, smokey night spots (the smoke only in imagination), and a fedora or two at the swank supper club known as The Redwood Library Tent, as the summer's gala fundraiser "Strictly Sinatra", honored the iconic singing star known as "Old Blue Eyes".

Guests were transported back to the heyday of El Morocco and the The Stork Club, as event  designer Francesca Campo and flower arranger Paul Eckhart recreated the 40's, 50's and 60's club scene – for an atmospheric, retro evening. Guests got into the spirit of the party with vintage-style clothing. as cocktails were served in the historic Library, and when bell sounded for dinner, the fabulous Black and White design of the tent had guests oohing and aahing upon entry.

Board President Gary Fischer was well into the spirit of the event, as he welcomed guests dressed in a Sinatra-style fedora. Then bandleader and singer/orchestra leader Michael Dutra pulled out all the stops as he sang Sinatra favorites,("I've Got You Under My Skin" et alia), backed by his Big Band orchestra.
