Record Attendance, Dazzle At VIP Opening Night Of Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show

"A Thing of Beauty is a Joy Forever"    -- John Keats

After the most successful Opening Night Preview Event in the Show’s history, the 14th Annual Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show opened its doors to literally thousands (Newport  Seen can attest to the numbers!) enthusiastic art connoisseurs, private collectors, museum curators and high-end interior designers. The show kicked off on welcoming an elite group of individuals for the exclusive Vernissage event hosted by Paula Butler, Jackie Weld Drake,

Audrey and Martin Gruss, Susan Malloy, David Ober, Polly Onet and William Secord , followed by VIP Preview Receptions. NewPalmer Pamela O’Connor was among the guests.

The show, which is held each year at the Palm Beach County Convention

Center, featured more than 175 international exhibitors showcasing

extraordinary collections of fine art, jewelry, silver, textiles, porcelain, Asian art, and more, ranging in date from the antiquities to the 20tth century. Compared to previous years, the show was light on photography, and heavy on jewelry.

There was a VIP lounge and a series of charming restaurants where guests could relax and refresh themselves.

It was a celestial world unto itself, with dealers from 50 countries showing their finest wares.
