Pink Martini Night at Hyatt A Colorful fundraiser

Maggie Mohrfeld greeting guests

Pink Martini Night was held in October to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Benefiting the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation in Pawtucket, the terribly colorful event was held at the Hyatt Regency , Goat Island, Newport. The evening featured pink martinis,  complimentary bra fittings, a beauty bar makeup station, quite well attended, that raised money for the fight against the disease.

Greeted by a string of pink lights extending from the bridge, the guests were met at the door by Maggie Mohrfeld,  in a shocking pink wig, and ushered into the luxurious spa, where they were offered bags with products and discounts. A cocktail hour ensued, complimentary massages were given along with spa treatments, make-up assistance, a silent auction, and an intriguing art installation called…… the "Boob Project" by artist Jill Buffington, colorfully displayed. Frank Romanelli serenaded the crowd with guitar and song.
