Making its debut in style at Newport's Soap&Water, a new line of bath and beauty care products will "wash over Newporters in waves", according to owners  Will de Young and Michael Evangelisti, who travel the world looking for inspiration for their skin care lines, sold here first, and in 2018 in the shop in Miami.

Nautical but nice towel

"Since opening Soap&Water four years ago Mike and I have wanted to develop a line of bath and body products that we felt great about, that had superior ingredients and had a high value proposition to our consumers" Says Mr. DeYoung.  Looking for perfection, we dabbled around in several options; but went back to a vacation we took several years ago to the East coast of Africa on the  Indian Ocean - Silhouette Island in the Seychelles where  there is an Island just a boat ride from the beach called Indigo Isle.  It was originally occupied by seafarers of Arabic origin who had learned to cultivate the islands produce, like indigo seeds, for prized shades of natural blue hues which quickly spread to royalty, throughout Europe and Asia. Today the island is owned by France and informed curators and procurers, the world over still export the volcanic islands enriched oils, butters, herbs and beautiful blue dyes."

And now it's all sailed into  Newport!

"Of all the trips we have taken, this trip forever changed the course of our destiny. We had clarity on two things: To 'know' versus 'experience' is not the same thing.  So we decided to bring these beautiful, raw materials home to Soap&Water and develop a Bath and Body Collection unrivaled by anything we had ever experienced."

"We always invite our patrons to share our new creations with us, said  owner DeYoung, and customers were greeted with pink champagne, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and samples, says Mr. DeYoung, who, with partner  Evangelisti, creates the product lines, traveling the world for the certain je ne sais quoi that inspires.
