"Critter Glitter" for Potter League, a Study in Starry Ornament

Deb Elliott & Christie Smith

The Potter League's home, a wonderful, state of the art facility for animals on Oliphant Road, becomes a splangled and – yes, glittering - jewelry emporium each Christmas, and the 6th annual event was true to form, with gorgeous jewelry from Sequin and the Badgley Mischka collection luring both ladies and gentlemen.

This year, there was an special opening "Ladies Night Out" and the following week, a "Gentleman's Night Out". The refreshments changed from champagne for ladies to beer for gentlemen, but the mission was the same: a pre-holiday spree for gifts and collections benefiting the Potter League animals.

A glamorous display

David Enstone and Fritz Attaway served wine and champagne for the ladies quite professionally, while Board member Deb Elliott and Potter League Executive Director Christie Smith greeted shoppers and chatted. The display tables were festively decorated, and the shoppers in a lively mood. The purchase line was long, indeed.

Seen shopping and sipping at Ladies Night were Diana Sylvaria, Esther Bernstein, Paula Stamos, Merideth Bonvino, and many others.
