Chocolate Brunch A Confection of Food, Camaraderie and Good Will for Visiting Nurses

"Anything is good if it's made of chocolate" – Jo Brand

How did Visiting Nurses know that chocolate is the universal salve and contentment when they inaugurated their annual Chocolate Brunch?

In its 2014 incarnation, the gorgeous, irresistible sweet was sered up at the Hyatt Regency and the supporters of Newport's philanthropies, particularly of Visiting Nurses, were there in force, dining on scrumptious treats (well, not all chocolate, it was brunch, you see.)

The silent auction tables were hives of activity, and as dining began, the guests were welcomed by Jan Gordon and president of VSNRI . Food bars and stations were inviting, and Newport Seen chatted (and indulged) with Dennis and Susan McCoy, the three Nancys -- Parker, Brickley and Wilson, Ruth Thumbtzen, Leslie and David Reed with daughter, Judy McLennan, Betsy West, Susan and Dennis McCoy and Sister Therese Antone.
