A Muse to Artists and a Gallery Owner Extraordinaire, Jessica Hagen Celebrates A 10th anniversary.

Tony Cavanagh, Jessica Hagen & Nora Diedrich

Jessica Hagen Fine Art & Design is no misnomer: her Gallery includes sculptures, paintings in all genres, ceramics, photography, impressive large bronzes, jewelry, and an affectionate cadre of friends and returning patrons, many of whom were on hand to celebrate her 10th anniversary in Newport.

Ms. Hagen's own jewelry designs, all made from natural materials, are
perennial bestsellers, and were on display in the striking new gallery. The jewelry line was launched when she occupied gallery space in the Audrain Building on Bellevue Avenue (one of two separate suites.) Having moved from space at 51 Bellevue Avenue, she looked for a new space when that building was being remodeled to become the Audrain Auto Museum.

She settled on space at 9A Bridge Street, which is spacious and lovely, and has windows fronting on the street – light, and accessible.

Showing artists Wylene Commander , Jane Bloodgood- Abrams, Hunt Slonem, Jessica Pisano, and sculptors Anne Mimi Sammis,

Walter Horak and  Howard Ben Tre  (among others), she always hosts a cordial, well-attended opening for each new show. She also serves on the committee for Wet Paint, a delightful annual fundraiser for the Newport Art Museum, and displays her artists' wares at a booth at the annual Newport Flower Show.

“I think of my gallery’s offerings as "Art for Independent Thinkers". And they are, unique and often though-t and emotion- provoking!

Seen at the celebration were Tony Cavanagh, Leslie Grosvenor, Cynthia Sinclair, Dr. Michael Rocchio, Barbara, Pieter and Casper Roos, Bonnie Kniskern, Brooke Roberts, artist James Steele, and Tom Eberhardt.
