A "Heartwarming" Event Turns 42 for The Potter League

David Enstone, Board member

In its 42nd spectacular year, Have A Heart, the annual celebration of good friends, fabulous food, and dazzling auction items, was the "Paws" that refreshes for the 400 animal lovers who mingled in the festive atmosphere at the heartening Cocktail Party and Auction.

Held at the venerable OceanCliff for the first time  http://www.newportseen.com/archived-news/oceancliff-resorts-intriguing-architectural-history/ guests enjoyed  a "Paw-tini" while browsing the array of silent auction items, sampling the Wine Bar, ooh-ing and aahing over the

pictures in the Adoption Café, or gathering with friends at tables in the Top Cat Lounge, attendees celebrated in style at the sold out event. Led by Co-Chairs David and Judith Enstone, auctioneer Deacon John Silvia and 50 volunteers, the event raised $83,000 to support the Potter League's programs and services.

The ongoing success of the Have a Heart is a tribute to the caring community of Potter League supporters. Staff and Board are most grateful to everyone who attended and for the overwhelming support of hundreds of individuals and businesses who contributed merchandise and gift certificates for the silent and live auction - often not just once, but for many years.

Newport Seen exchanged "tails" with Roe O'Brien, Jane Moore, Brian Pelletier, Terry Nathan and Marilyn Kantor, Robin Nicholson and co-chair David Enstone.
